Beginning the professional journey with rigorous surgical training at Dr George Mukhari Hospital, affiliated with Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, he rapidly climbed the surgical ladder. In 2014, Dr Moshwana served as a Community Service and Medical Officer at Dilokong Hospital, demonstrating his passion for community healthcare. His commitment went beyond professional duties as he extended his time in Driekop Gowe Village, his hometown, until November 2017. During this period, he dedicated himself to the well-being of the community where he grew up, reflecting both professional and personal investment in the health and welfare of the people. This was followed by a rigorous year as a Trauma Surgery Medical Officer at Dr George Mukhari Hospital.
In September 2018, Dr Moshwana embraced the role of a Surgical Registrar at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital, a position held with distinction until December 2021. Since January 2022, Dr Moshwana has demonstrated his expertise as the General Surgeon and consultant in the Hepatopancreatobiliary unit at the same institution for six months. During this time, he has been actively involved in teaching students, interns, and registrars aspiring to become general surgeons. Dr Moshwana plans to leverage this experience as he embarks on a journey to establish his own private practice.
Renowned for a meticulous approach to patient care, Dr Moshwana has not only built a reputation as a trusted surgeon but also as a trailblazer in surgical research. Having successfully cleared the Fellowship College of Surgeons Exams from the College of Medicine South Africa, the commitment to continuous learning and research is evident. Additionally, he has completed his Masters of Medicine at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. His dissertation is highlighted by its presence at several congresses, including the 49th annual Surgical Research Society Congress and the ASSA AGES Congress. Moreover, the study abstract has been honoured with a publication in the respected South African Journal of Surgeons.
